The tool is designed to be used both at home by individuals parents in conjunction with a certified Speech Language Pathologists and also in professional speech therapy sessions by certified Speech Language Pathologists.
It is easy to use at home. Speechify [r] tool arrives with detailed instructions to begin practicing. Following the instructions that are given on the online training Video or/and in the instruction sheet you can apply the therapy to your child or others from home. Instructions are brief and simple to understood. If you ever have any difficulty, please contact us and we will respond within 2-3 business days or sooner.
It is firstly advisable and important to contact your personal Certified Speech Language Pathologist or your personal health care physician for an assessment. A Certified Speech Language Pathologist trained in oral motor therapy will be able to guide you best through the process. Organic, neurological and /or pathological causes, such as enlargement of the tongue or lingual frenum, etc., must be taken into consideration before you initiate the treatment of Trilled or Rolled [r]. For instance, people with ankyloglossia may find it exceptionally difficult to articulate this consonant due to the limited mobility of their tongues. Rest breaks should be given according to the needs of each child or adult individually. Be sure to wear gloves while you provide oral therapy with the Speechify [r] tool. Be sure that Speechify [r] toolis cleaned before its use as it is suggested to be cleaned.
TheSpeechify [r] tool is made from Titanium – CP Grade 1 ASTM F67-a fundamental material used in medicine. It was designed to be effective and safe. It is light and does not easily get rusty and is neither capable of producing allergies.
The Speechify [r] tool touches the tongue in the same way as a tongue depressor or toothbrush does. Speechify [r] tool cannot cause injury to the tongue unless the tool is used with force, violence, threats, deceit or other forms. Use it at own risk.
  • Do not use any imitation products. Any other products that are made from other materials might cause infections, allergies or/and injuries.
  • Do not use it if you know or suspect you may have a titanium allergy. This is something to consider if you have other metal allergies.
  • Do not use it if you feel tongue pain that associates with a variety of other conditions such as swelling, anemia, canker sores (aphthous ulcers), oral herpes, neuralgia, cancer, poorly fitting dentures, or irritation from dental work, paresthesia, “burning mouth syndrome” and tongue movement problems are often caused by nerve damage (post-stroke or post-surgery nerve damage).
  • If you experience any pain during therapy, stop immediately and contact your personal doctor for medical advice.

A tongue pain may be a result of a medical condition.

To wash the Speechify [r] tool dip it in 70% isopropyl alcohol. Rinse thoroughly with water.

It is recommended to use it 3 -5 times a week, per 20′-40′ minutes on a daily basis. The more you use it, the faster you’ll see results.

If you follow precise the recommendations and the restrictions of use of the program you will see results within 4-8 weeks after treatment.

Speechify [r] tool can be recommended to all children and adults that may experience speech and articulation difficulties for a variety of reasons, such as:

  • Neurological Disorders (e.g., cerebral palsy)
  • Dysarthria

Speechify [r] tool is NOT recommended for children or adults with language disorders, stuttering, voice or swallowing disorders.
